Flavor Flav has faced a litany of legal troubles over the course of his career; in recent years, most have centered on his driving mishaps. Now, it seems as if those issues might have come to a head. According to TMZ, Flav was arrested early this morning (May 21) in Las Vegas. The volatile ball of charisma, originally of Public Enemy, was pulled over by Nevada Highway Patrol for speeding in his black 2005 BMW. Flav was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, driving without registration, driving with an open container and possession of marijuana. At press time, there were no more details as to his bond status or trial date, but stay tuned to XXL for updates.

Flav became famous as the hypeman in Public Enemy, charging Chuck D's vocals and the Bomb Squad's production with his distinctive drawl. He enjoyed a second round of notoriety in the early 2000s with a series of reality shows, the most famous of which was Flavor of Love. The program followed a group of women as they engaged in a Bachelor-style competition to win Flav's heart. He was also closely tied to the actress Brigitte Nielsen; the two starred together in VH1's Strange Love.
