With Zaytoven behind the boards, OG Maco channels his inner Gucci Mane for their OG Zay mixtape. Maco, who is celebrating his birthday today (April 23), was undoubtedly influenced by Gucci coming up and based on his current pace, is looking to match the incarcerated rapper's output. Along with a dearth of loosies, freestyles and singles, Maco has also dropped the 15 EP, the Yep EP with Rome Fortune and the BREATHE EP all in the past five months. On OG Zay, the 2015 XXL Freshmen nominee does his best Gucci impression over one of the Trap God's earliest collaborators. Over Zaytoven's key heavy beats, OG Maco takes a less aggressive approach than listeners are accustomed to and shows his versatility. Will the summer of 2015 belong to Maco? If he has a stretch like he did when "U Guessed It" first went viral, it would be tough to bet against the young ATLien. Check out OG Zay above.

For someone who has been rapping seriously for just four years, Maco has made great strides and is easily one of the rising stars of the South. After dropping out of Georgia Stat University, the Quality Control MC hit the ground running and hasn't looked back since. “When I was like 18… [I realized] I could actually be one of the greatest with this shit if I tempered it,” Maco told XXL back in Jan. “So I started taking it kind of serious and by the time I was 20-21, I was dedicated.”
