Rich Homie Quan Says He Is Innocent in Miami Boat Incident

Rich Homie Quan is not about to incriminate himself. The Atlanta rapper has issued a statement about his role in the March incident in Miami that led to a lawsuit from a nightclub bouncer who claims Quan assaulted him. It reads, in full:

"With respect to the questions concerning the incident with the security guard, I am innocent of the accusations he has made against me. However, I am not at liberty to expand further at this time because the investigation into the events of that day is ongoing.”

He reiterated the same message with TMZ. He said," "I stayed on the boat. I don't know what transpired within that moment and act—I hopped back on the boat and we just pulled off." Watch the video below.

This is the altercation from which Quan reportedly escaped on a stolen speedboat after taunting the bouncer, "I'm a rich millionaire, bitch!" There is no word yet as to what, if any, legal repercussions Quan will ultimately face.

After first breaking through to a national audience with his 2013 hit, "Type Of Way," Quan has flooded the Internet with hits, including his mixtape I Promise I Will Never Stop Going In and his 2014 collaboration with Young Thug, Tha Tour, Part 1. The latter, released in conjunction with Bryan "Baby" Williams under the name Rich Gang, was one of the year's most vital records, with Quan's performances on songs like "War Ready" and "Milk Marie" anchoring it. Quan is reportedly finishing his debut solo album. His most recent single, "Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)," recently received the video treatment, complete with an ending that features a boat and a title card that reads, "To Be Continued."
