Brooklyn's own Pro Era crew descended upon SXSW in Austin, Texas last month and today they dropped off their eight-minute recap video/mini documentary showcasing the experience. The video kicks off with a tour of their headquarters for the week, a house that doubles as work station and play pen for the young MCs and producers. Before the madness begins, Joey Bada$$ leads a conversation about performance strategy—always stay wilin' out, no matter what the crowd is doing—and hits the radio interview circuit, while Kirk Knight gets ready to play his first ever SXSW show and the rest of the crew hit an arcade to blow off some steam.

The whole of Pro Era—Dessy Hinds, Nyck Caution, Kwon Swank, Kirk Knight, A La $ole, Rokamouth, Dyemond Lewis, Dirty Sanchez, Joey Bada$$ and CJ Fly—were out on the streets of Austin, joined throughout the video in various cameos by the likes of longtime DJ Statik Selektah, fellow Brooklyn crew Phony Ppl, Cinematic labelmate Mick Jenkins and Era friend Saba Pivot; Smoke DZA, Dizzy Wright, Lil Herb, Denzel Curry, Kehlani, Iamsu!, members of Two-9 and a whole bunch of farm animals (including a kangaroo wearing a diaper) also show up. And Redman makes a heartfelt visit to the Pro Era dressing room to show support for the movement.

With multiple performances interspersed with backstage shots, plenty of antics and behind the scenes footage, the whole video is worth checking out (and there are even more surprise cameos than those listed, if you can spot them). Watch Pro Era's SXSW Takeover above, and keep on the lookout for more new music from the crew.
