On Saturday morning, April 11, St. Louis rapper and reality star, Nelly was arrested in Tennessee on felony drug charges. The rapper was charged with felony possession of drugs, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia according to the Chattanooga Times Free Press.

According to a news release by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a state trooper pulled over Nelly's tour bus for not having a required Department of Transportation and International Fuel Tax Association sticker. Troopers smelled marijuana upon reaching the bus and discovered five rocks that tested positive for meth, as well as a small amount of marijuana. Officers also found 100 small Ziploc bags that are commonly used to bag and sell drugs. Cops also found a "gold-lated 50-caliber Desert Eagle pistol, a 45-caliber Tarus pistol and a 500 magnum Smith and Wesson."

CNN is reporting that Nelly was taken to Putnam County jail and posted bond. Nelly is being legally represented by Scott Rosenblum who said he is, "extremely confident that when the facts come out, Nelly will not be associated with the contraband that was allegedly discovered." And, "there had been 15-20 people that had access to the bus prior to the stop." He also said that the drugs found on the bus were not meth but "MDMA aka Molly or Ecstasy."
