"I got the idea from watching my friends pay thousands of dollars to local promoters to be opening acts at their concerts," Monopoly said. "I noticed that they would pay a lot of money but didn't get all that much real value besides some backstage passes. I asked my man if he would be willing to pay to perform in front of A&Rs that could potentially buy songs from them or get them closer to securing a deal and he said, 'Absolutely!' Shortly after I started planning this first event and here we are."

Attending will be A&Rs from Interscope Records, Atlantic Records, Motown, and RCA. There will also be a surprise guests coming.  John Monopoly managed Kanye West through his first three albums. He was also an A&R at Violator Management, Jive Records, among others. He co-founded of Lawless, Inc in 2011.
