Ja Rule Is Featured in a Documentary on White Collar Crime

If you're itching for Ja Rule in every media platform imaginable, itch no longer: CNBC has announced that the turn-of-the-century hitmaker will be featured in their forthcoming documentary, White Collar Convicts: Life on the Inside. The film crew spoke with Ja specifically about his time in the same lockup facility as former Tyco CEO Dennis Kozlowski, who was sentenced in 2005 to 8 years to 25 years in prison. Says Ja of Kozlowski: "I don't think he knew, but I guess people briefed him on who I was." The Grammy winner goes on to say, "Me and Koz actually met, and he introduced himself to me, and said, 'I hear you're the rapper guy.'" Ja explains that the disgraced CEO latched onto him because the most common ulterior motive among the inmates--extorting one another for financial gain--didn't apply to him, a wealthy musician.

Ja Rule has been working diligently to engineer a comeback; in 2013, he completed a two-year prison sentence for gun possession, and has used the interceding time to write and record a slew of new material. Though he hasn't released a new solo record since 2012's Pain is Love 2, he has announced that Genius Loves Company will be released this year, bringing his studio catalog to eight albums. The Queens MC has also intimated that there is yet-to-be-released material from the one-time supergroup Murder, Inc.
