Today, April 1, is the 32nd birthday of the tatted up and talented MC Kid Ink.

A Los Angeles, Calif. native, Kid Ink burst onto the scene following the success of his independently released debut album Up & Away in 2012. Ink also appearing on XXL's 2013 Freshmen cover. With major exposure and industry backing from RCA Records, Kid Ink continued to build his movement, unveiling his second studio album My Own Lane in 2014 followed Full Speed in 2015.

From 2013 to 2015, Kid Ink had a string of successful singles. In 2013, his song "Show Me" featuring Chris Brown surged, and was eventually certified double platinum. Kid Ink went platnum with CB again in 2014 on "Main Chick," then scooped up a gold plaque for "Body Language" with Usher and Tinashe in the same year. The next year, 2015, saw him strike platinum on both the Dej Loaf-assisted "Be Real" and "Promise," which features Fetty Wap.

Full Speed strategically features collabs with some of hip-hop's biggest names right now from Chris Brown, Trey Songz and R. Kelly to DeJ Loaf, Young Thug and Migos. And just as 2015 was coming to a close, Ink dropped Summer in the Winter.

In 2016, Kid Ink and his fiancee Asiah Azante welcomed a beautiful baby girl. His most recent project is his 2017 EP 7 Series.
