The Rush is back ...

Though information is scarce, a billboard in Hollywood has people buzzing today (April 23). The giant ad pits Diddy against Byung-hun Lee over the title Rush Hour 4: Face/Off 2, referring to two beloved action flick franchises, the former famously starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. According to The Daily Beast, not even the staff at the bar over which the ad was placed were aware of its existence--nor were representatives at New Line, the company responsible for producing the franchise. Some have suggested that the billboard is part of a Funny Or Die sketch, the comedy company with whom the music mogul recently made "Downtown Diddy." However, the artist formerly known as Puff Daddy did Instagram the ad with the caption "The Rush is back," suggesting an actual sequel may be in the works.

Apparently, the idea of a fourth installment to the Rush Hour franchise has been in the works for some time now, though it has not been confirmed whether or not a script has been commissioned. As for Diddy, he seems to be angling for a return to the spotlight, having recently announced that Kanye West is joining his longtime production collective The Hitmen to finish Making Money Mitch, his first album since 2010.
