Dame Dash Says He Is Proud of Jay Z’s Success

Dame Dash has had his hands on a lot of projects as of late and his latest venture is into the world of audiobooks. Dame is releasing Culture Vultures, an audio book that details Dame’s rise from the street level to becoming one of the most successful businessmen in the music world as the head of Rocafella Records.

“People always ask what happened between me and Jay, as if there was some sort of beef that broke us apart…What we did was create a company together,” Dame explains. “We sold it. He went corporate and I decided to stay independent. There was no beef. Pause.

“I’m proud of Jay Z’s success and Kanye’s success. Inside I feel like I had something to do with their success…I don’t have anything but positive things to say,” he added. “What Jay wanted to become, he became. And what Kanye wanted to become, he became.”

Dame also spoke on the past yesterday when he posted a picture to Instagram that revisited the Jay Z and Nas battle. Dash posted a picture of the word “Ether” with the definition of “that shit that make your soul burn slow” along with a caption praising Nas and claiming that he took a loss.
