A party headlined by T.I. and Jeezy in Charlotte, NC was interrupted by gunshots sending partygoers scrambling yesterday (Feb. 28). The two Atlanta MCs were in town—including Panthers' star quarterback Cam Newton—for the annual C.I.A.A. Tournament festivities and were in attendance at a day party when someone fired what sounds like two shots into the crowd, reports TMZ. This is the second time Newton escaped a serious incident. He was involved in a bad car accident last December.

T.I., Jeezy and Yo Gotti were reportedly in attendance when the shooting started, with the Kang already having performed. Da Snowman and Gotti were reportedly cooling in the V.I.P. section when the shooting occurred. None of the rappers were injured during the gunfire. However, according to police two people were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. No arrest have been made the shooting. Authorities are still looking for suspects. You can check out some surveillance video from the shooting here.

On a lighter note, we should be getting some new music from T.I. and Jeezy in the near future. Last November, the ATLiens confirmed they are working on a joint LP, reportedly titled Dope Boy Academy. “We are finally putting the execution part in the works,” T.I. told MTV about the project. The Atlanta MC mentioned timing as something that has held the project back before. “This is one of the first times that we are both putting our albums out around the same time. Now we can collectively come together and do something together,” he said. Adding, “We already have probably ’bout six or seven records already.” In late January, they released a 12-minute video for the single "G-SHit" off Tip's most recent album release, Paperwork.
