On Tuesday (March 24), it was reported that Rich Homie Quan did something only Rich Homie Quan would do: assault and insult a Miami nightclub bouncer, then escape on a speedboat. It's the kind of altercation that would become unsubstantiated rap lore, a testament to Quan's absurd persona. But that will not be the case this time--one way or another, the truth will come out. TMZ is reporting that the security Quan attacked, Christian Cajigas, is suing the rapper. He is represented by an attorney named Eric Hertz who has some experiences in cases like this involving celebrities, having previously represented a woman who was allegedly slapped by Tim McGraw last year. Hertz and Cajigas have not specified how much they are seeking in damages.

Rich Homie Quan first rose to prominence in 2013 when his single, "Type of Way," became a hit throughout the South, and then nationally. He is best known recently for his work with Young Thug under the name Rich Gang. Their first release, a mixtape called The Tour, Part 1 was released last fall. The project was overseen by Bryan "Baby" Williams, the famed Cash Money Records founder. In what some have considered an antagonistic move, Young Thug has announced that his next project will be called Tha Carter 6, in reference to Cash Money veteran Lil Wayne's series, of which the fifth installment is being stalled by Williams.
