Last night on the SXSW-themed episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! Bill Murray told Kimmel about what happened in one of the most unlikely relationships in the entire entertainment industry. According to the cowboy hat-, cardigan- and short-short-wearing Murray, he and Ross recorded a song for a Christmas show, yet Ross didn't show up for the shoot. "If anyone out there sees a 300-pound guy who looks like he was supposed to be in New York two weeks ago," Murray joked, "let me know."Though he might have missed the chance to work with a living legend, Ross has had a busy year or so, releasing two full-length LPs in 2014. Both Mastermind and Hood Billionaire featured high-profile guests and Ross' trademark cartoon luxury.

Murray is one of America's most celebrated comedic actors. After getting his start with Chicago's famed Second City, he made the switch to Saturday Night Live, where he appeared on the show's premiere, but didn't join the official cast until the second season, following rival Chevy Chase's departure. He's starred in critically and commercially adored films like CaddyshackGhostbusters, Groundhog Day and Tootsie. He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in 2003's Lost in Translation.
