XXL Freshman 2015 hopeful O.T. Genasis was arrested earlier this week in Los Angeles. According to TMZ, the "CoCo" rapper was pulled over after officers witnessed him run a red light on Wednesday (March 25). Upon running his license, the cops discovered OTG had two warrants stemming from prior traffic violations. The Long Beach MC was reportedly taken to a nearby police station and booked.

The California rapper has kept his nose pretty clean since popping up on the scene in 2011 and later making a name for himself with the regional hit, "Touchdown." He inked a deal with Busta Rhymes' Conglomerate Records last year, and made Bussa Buss seem like he made a sound decision when the Genasis song "CoCo" went viral last October, amassing over 100 million YouTube views and becoming the one of the biggest song's of the year. But 2015 is a new journey for the up-and-coming MC. “Oh man, definitely drop a project, man, ” OT said on his plans for the remainder of the year when we talked to him earlier this month. “Fourteen, fifteen songs, drop a full project, give these people something… And yeah, man, I’m just ready to live a different life. A more happy one.”

Does he have what it takes to grace the cover of the highly anticipated 2015 XXL Freshmen issue, or nah? Check out his pitch, here.
