Rome Fortune and Two-9's CeeJ have teamed up to present loloU, the successor to their 2012 collaborative mixtape, lolo. The 11-track set features not just one, but two guest turns from iLoveMakonnen, whose unconventional voice works superbly as an instrument in the jazz-infused confines of loloU. Fortune told FADER that the impetus for the followup project was the advent of larger fanbases for both himself and for Two-9, and the desire to satisfy fans of the original collaboration and newcomers alike. Highlights include the absurdist disco of "Joose" and "Backside," which plays like the first lullaby crafted expressly for Magic City.

In January of this year, Fortune turned himself into authorities to serve a one-month stint in jail. Though little is known about the circumstances surrounding his incarceration, he seems to be back and sharper than ever, with loloU showcasing the diversity of his vocal talents. As for CeeJ, he and the rest of Two-9 recently dropped their mixtape, B4FRVR. The collective are enjoying a serious groundswell of success in Atlanta, where they are one of the city's most popular acts to have not broken through to the mainstream national media. They are signed to Mike WiLL Made It's Ear Drummer Records, a subsidiary of Interscope.
