ILoveMakonnen is one of Shania Twain's biggest fans.

While at SXSW, the rising star stopped to chat with Canadian journalist Nardwuar and shared that he absolutely adores the country pop singer. When he was younger, Makonnen used to listen to "Still the One" and think Shania was singing to him. "I love her a lot," he told Nardwuar before he's given an autographed Twain VHS. During the remainder of the interview, Makonnen is blessed with even more gifts, including a Delfonics album, a Gangster Doodles book that includes a sketch of him, Junior Mafia "Gettin' Money" vinyl and a Beach Boys record, all favorites of the Atlanta upstart. Makonnen also reminisces on the first time he heard Drake on his song, saying he cried while high on mushrooms. Check out the quirky interview above.

He wasn't the only one to chop it up with Canadian personality while in Austin. Migos also all had their turn. Nardwuar blesses the Atlanta trio with Mr. T costume jewelry, which they quickly point out is different from their own 24-carat gold chains. The Human Serviette has clearly done his research. He catches the young MCs off guard several times throughout the interview, one being when he reminds them that OJ Da Juiceman first introduced them to Zaytoven. They also talk about Quavo's football past, Offset's dance skills and the ice on their fingers. The interview, like Makonnen's, is pretty comical.

Migos’ major label debut, YRN Tha Album drops June 16 via Quality Control Music and 300. Check out the 11-minute clip below.
