Gunplay fans can rejoice. After countless delays and push backs, the wild MMG rapper announced via Instagram that his major label debut, Living Legend, will drop in May. In the Instagram video, Don Logan is seen in the studio previewing the lead single 'Tell Em Daddy' which will be available on iTunes next week. Back in June of 2014, XXL spoke with Gunplay about the status of the album formerly known as Medellin and told us that "Tell Em Daddy" is the intro to the album. 'Tell'em Daddy' is probably going to be the first record on there," he says. "It’s basically me telling you who Gunplay is. I wrote the whole record in 30 minutes, like I just couldn’t stop writing until, 'That’s three verses already?' It’s just letting you know who Gunplay is. That’s going to be the intro of the album."

Gunplay also said that Young Dro, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, August Alsina and Curren$y will be on the album as featured guests. The Miami, Florida MC also promised an honest album that will give the people a true look at who Gunplay is. "I’ve been through more than most rappers," he says. "I’ve paid more dues than most rappers. I’ve been through more than most niggas who’s out here on the street. I think the title fits me perfect. I elaborate on that a few times on the album to let y’all know why I am a Living Legend. Other than that I still wanted to—not cater to the masses—but give something the masses something they could relate to. Where I’m not stepping out of character, I’m not being somebody I’m not. When you hear the album you’ll understand what I’m coming from.”
