In recent years, The Game has remade himself as a man who stands up for his community, who strives to make the neighborhood in which he grew up a safer, more prosperous place. But everyone has a breaking point: TMZ is reporting that the Compton rapper got into a brawl at a pro-am basketball game yesterday (March 29) in Hollywood. Apparently, the game, which took place at Hollywood High School, turned heated when Game got in a pointed shouting match with another player. Then, law enforcement reports, the Doctor's Advocate rapper punched the man in the face, then absconded from the scene. The man on the receiving end of the punch, as of yet unidentified, told authorities that Game threatened to kill him as well. The incident is being investigated as battery.

The Game recently announced that his seventh solo album, The Documentary 2, will be released this June. The title hearkens back to his 2005 debut, which featured a murderer's row of producers; Timbaland, Just Blaze, Havoc, Kanye West contributed, as did of-the-moment stars like Scott Storch and Cool & Dre. And it was Dr. Dre himself who helmed the project, serving as executive producer and orchestrating Game's inclusion in 50 Cent's G-Unit empire. The latter rapper recently spoke with XXL about his role in crafting The Documentary.

As for the basketball incident, maybe Game was just trying out a new image. He recently took to Instagram to post his latest tattoo--a portrait of Mike Tyson that covers his right hand in its entirety.
