Future Lives the Lavish Life in the ‘F#!k Up Some Commas’ Video

Future may be hurt, but he's still got his priorities in order. Where his sophomore album, Honest, was a celebration of Future's life at the point it was released, in early 2014--the new husband and father was excited to start a life with his better half, Ciara--Monster was instead a stone-faced bloodletting. Helmed by Metro Boomin, the fall mixtape catches its codeine captain at his most bitter, most heartless, most, well, honest. "Fuck Up Some Commas," which has curiously become a breakout hit months after the tape dropped, finally gets the video treatment, with Future lurking where he lurks best, in the shadows.

Since Monster, Future has released two more mixtapes. Earlier this year he unveiled Beast Mode, a nine-track, 28-minute affair that makes up for its brevity with its ceaseless volley of Zaytoven heaters and Future's vocals at their Sprite-sated nimblest. No more than a week ago, the Atlanta rapper also dropped 56 Nights, which features the undeniable "March Madness." Future first rose to prominence in 2012, following the release of his debut album, Pluto. That record featured contributions from such heavy hitters as Drake, T.I., R. Kelly, Trae tha Truth, Snoop Dogg and Juicy J. It also features a spoken-word introduction by Big Rube; though it is not widely gleaned from Future's own aesthetic, he was raised in and around Atlanta's storied Dungeon Family--the clan from which OutKast and Goodie Mob emerged.
