Despite being the most tenured artist on the TDE label, Jay Rock has been the most inactive recently while labelmates Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Isiah Rashad and SZA have all shined. That ends soon, according to label founder Anthony 'Top Dawg' Tiffith. In the midst of feverish promotion for Kendrick Lamar's upcoming album, To Pimp A Butterfly, the boss dawg stopped to give fans an update of Rock's forthcoming album which will be his first since 2011's Follow Me Home. Posting a screen grab of a laptop containing the tracks to the Watts' rappers LP, Top Dawg typed, "TRUST ME @JAYROCK IS COMING...HES WORKING HIS ASS OFF 2 GIVE YALL HIS BEST...BE PATIENT #TDE." He later added, "theres your jay rock updated....now lets get back to T.P.A.B and my goal for this album .. y'all tell me what my goal is ?#TDE

Rock has been slowly getting the gears going for his upcoming release. Late last year he dropped two singles, "Pay For It" featuring Kendrick Lamar and "Parental Advisory."

Back in December the "Yola" rapper tweeted that he was two songs from completing the project. Apparently, he's been working diligently to put out a proper follow up. It looks like 2015 is really the year we get to smell what the Rock's been cooking.
