MTV's new series Truce featured a special moment last night when Angel Haze helped repair a relationship between a mother and her bisexual daughter. The emotionally charged episode was centered around Briyonza, a young woman who is at odds with her mother Chiquina over the former's sexuality and way of life. Chiquina believes that her daughter is just going through a phase and has some unsavory feelings and false thoughts about the gay community as a whole that upset her daughter and has fractured the family's dynamic. Chiquina is vehemently against her daughter dating other woman and let's her know about it.

In the episode, Haze mediates a meeting between Chiquina, Briyonza and Briyonza's girlfriend Advani to try and work out a solution to fix the rift between mother and daughter. The sit down falls apart pretty quickly and Haze and Chiquina have a talk in the kitchen away from the rest of the party. Haze, who is pansexual (meaning that she believes she can fall in love with anyone at anytime regardless of age, race or sexuality), explains to the woman that her own mother disowned her because of her sexuality and that it ruined her relationship with her family. The rapper's words struck a chord with Briyonza's mother who realizes that her daughter's happiness is more important than anything else. Pretty cool moment for everyone involved.
