Suge Knight left a California hospital and returned to jail a day after suffering a serious blood clot after pleading not guilty to murder in a deadly hit-and-run. The former CEO of Death Row Records began experiencing chest pains after he was taken from the holding area at the courthouse. He was rushed to the hospital soon after. It was initially thought to just be a minor panic attack. However, news was revealed yesterday (Feb. 4) by family members and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials that Suge suffered a “medical emergency.”  Suge was moved to Long Beach Memorial, put on blood thinners and is handcuffed to his bed under 24/7 watch by police

The hip-hop figure had a similar incident three months ago in a jail cell in Las Vegas when he was rushed to a local hospital after suffering  a blood clot in his lung that nearly took his life. The clots is a result of the Chris Brown’s pre-VMAs party incident where Suge was shot six times.

On Monday (Feb. 2), Knight was officially charged for the murder of Terry Carter and the attempted murder of actor Cle “Bone” Sloan. Knight plead not guilty to murder, attempted murder and two counts of hit and run. Suge is accused of running over both victims with his truck in a burger stand parking lot on Jan. 29 after an argument on the set of a Straight Outta Compton commercial.  Straight Outta Compton is a movie about the rise of the rap group N.W.A. The New York Daily News got their hands on a witness calling 911 reporting the crime (listen here). The female caller claimed to have seen the incident and tried to follow Knight, who fled the scene.

‘This car ran over two guys,' the caller said. "They were fighting and then, um, he just pulled back and pulled forward and run them over."

Services for Terry Carter have been set for Saturday at noon in Los Angeles. Michael R. Shapiro, the attorney who represents Sloan, said his client has a mangled left foot plus some neurological issues and is recovering from his injuries under heavy security. Knight next appearance in court is a hearing schedule for Monday to determine whether he can be released on bail or must stay in custody. He could face life in prison if convicted.
