Suge Knight’s Portrayal In ‘Straight Outta Compton’ Led To Fatal Hit-And-Run
Suge Knight went to the Straight Outta Compton set to talk to Dr. Dre about how he was portrayed in the film shortly before he ran over and killed Terry Carter and injured actor Cle "Bone" Sloan. According to a report from TMZ, Dre had never asked Knight for permission to include his likeness in the film and went down to the set to have a meeting with Dre when all hell broke loose. According to anonymous sources on the scene, a fight broke out between Knight and Sloan on set and carried over to Tam's Burgers a few miles away. In the parking lot of the restaurant, Suge hit and killed Carter and injured Sloan.
In the trailer above, at right around the 3:22 mark, a quick cut of a man who looks like Suge Knight is seen getting into a fight inside the studio. According to IMDB, actor R. Marcus Taylor was casted as Suge Knight in the film. Taylor has worked primarily as a stunt actor and stunt double appearing on shows and in movies like Sons Of Anarchy, Nurse Jackie, The Blacklist, Blue Bloods, How To Make It In America and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Yesterday, Knight's bail hearing was rescheduled for Mar. 20 meaning that he will remain in jail for at least another month. Earlier this month, Knight was charged for the murder of Terry Carter and the attempted murder of Cle "Bone" Sloan. His bail of $2.2 million was revoked after the Sheriff's Department determined he was a flight risk and due to his criminal history.
