Suge Knight is still in the hospital following the plea yesterday (Feb. 3). There is no update to the status of his health but the AP reports that his attorney David Kenner said "[Knight] feels bad that somebody that he knew is deceased...it's not his fault."

The larger than life hip-hop figure was rushed to the hospital after experiencing a panic attack. The incident happened after he appeared in court. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Nicole Nishida confirmed reports to the L.A. Times however she would not state the condition of the former CEO of Death Row Records. Marion "Suge" Knight plead not guilty to murder and attempted murder. He also plead not guilty to two counts of hit and run and allegations that he committed a violent felony while out on bail pending another case. Knight had been on bail after he and comedian Katt Williams were arrested for allegedly stealing a camera from a female photographer in October.

The former UNLV defensive linemen was officially charged for the murder of Terry Carter and the attempted murder of actor Cle “Bone” Sloan yesterday (Feb. 2). Knight faces a potential third strike since he has two prior serious criminal offenses connected to convictions for assault with a deadly weapon. He is being held without bail. If convicted, Knight could be sentenced to life in prison.

The Compton native's next scheduled court appearance is Monday, Feb. 9 for a bail review hearing. Knight is being represented by a new attorney, David Kenner. His previous defense attorney was James E. Blatt, who stated that the incident was an accident after the former rap mogul was fleeing for his life from an altercation with Sloan.

The fatal hit-and-run happened last week on a film set of the commercial for N.W.A's biopic Straight Outta Compton.
