Harlem rap duo Cannibal Ox will be dropping their newest album, Blade of the Roninnext week (Mar. 3). The album is Vast Aire and Vordul Mega's first in the last 14 years following their 2001 The Cold Vein, and will be released via IGC and iHipHop. MF DOOM, U-God and Artifacts will make appearances on the upcoming project. While speaking with Pitchfork, Vast Aire talked about artists he thinks are killing the music industry right now.

"As far as what’s happening now, I like Mike WiLL and Rae Sremmurd," said Aire. "They're bringing something innovative to the game. Big K.R.I.T. is retarded to me—I wanna do an album with him tomorrow. There's a lot of good, innovative stuff coming out. But on the real, Blade of the Ronin is gonna shut everything down."

"Working with Vast on new Cannibal Ox songs has been exceptional," said Mega. "I have my solo efforts and I've recorded a few things, but I always feel good being a part of something."

On Monday (Mar. 2), Cannibal Ox are having a release show at Webster Hall in New York, alongside GZA of Wu-Tang Clan, Freeway and G-Jet. In recent weeks, we've heard two tracks off the highly anticipated Blade of the Ronin, "Harlem Knights" and "Iron Rose" featuring MF DOOM.
