With the latest--and likely final--Wu-Tang Clan now behind him, RZA is continuing his foray into the world of film. It was announced today (Feb. 8) that the legendary producer will be joining the cast of Vanessa del Rio, the new film from Thomas Mignone. RZA made his announcement in conjunction with Drea De Matteo; the two join a cast that already includes The Single Moms Club's Zulay Henao. In addition to directing, Mignone also wrote the script, which centers on the life and times of the world's first Latina adult film star. The story takes place in New York City.

In 2012, RZA directed, co-wrote and starred in The Man With The Iron Fists, a martial arts film that was released to some critical acclaim. The Shaolin legend has been vocal in giving credit to Quentin Tarantino as both an inspiration and mentor as he learns to navigate the world of film. Most recently, RZA has landed acting roles in the short-lived Fox drama Gang Related and Brick Mansions, the Canadian remake of Luc Besson's District 13. Vanessa del Rio appeared in well over 100 adult films during her career, as well as in mainstream productions like NYPD Blue.
