Despite the rumors and social media buzz, Lil Wayne's Free Weezy album will not release tonight. After Weezy sent out a tweet that said, "Hit sent. #FWA," and a supposed album cover started to cirulate, rumors of Wayne's The Free Weezy Album dropping tonight began to spread like wildfire. Once the buzz started to grow, Young Money President Mack Maine took to Twitter to kill all rumors:

 

The reputable Lil Wayne fan site, LilWayneHQ.com, also tweeted that the art work going around is fake and the project is not dropping tonight:


After Drake dropped his If You're Reading This, It's Too Late out of nowhere last night and the rumors of Wayne's free album dropping in similar fashion surfaced, the buzz on social media was palpable. Between Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, Diddy, J. Cole, Drake, and the countless rapper-hosted events and concerts taking place in New York City, hip-hop is taking over NBA All-Star Weekend. For now, Lil Wayne's crusade against Cash Money continues and fans and listeners will have to settle for Sorry 4 The Wait 2 as we continue to wait for the official Free Weezy Album.
