Kendrick Lamar has been tight lipped about his upcoming album and very little news has leaked about the project. But, an unlikely source has had the privilege of hearing new songs from the album. Prince Jackson, the son of pop icon Michael Jackson, sent out a tweet late Tuesday night with pictures of him and K. Dot together with the caption "Had the great honor of meeting Kendrick and hearing some of his new tracks for his upcoming album with @RealOBee"

Jackson tweeted out nothing else about the music and Jackson's friend Omer Bhatti, who also sat in on the session, said via his Facebook that "the Music [sic] is on another level."

Lamar's album is slated for a 2015 release and the songs he has released so far have been well received. His first single, "i," received a Grammy and his most recent track, "The Blacker The Berry," is produced by Boi-1da. When he made an appearance on 'The Colbert Report' late last year, Kendrick performed a previously unheard and still officially unreleased song that he reportedly wrote the day before the show.
