Today, Feb. 11, is the birthday of Michael Clervoix, better known by his professional name, Sha Money XL. As a multi-platinum record producer, Sha Money XL is widely known throughout the industry as a hit making machine guaranteed to foster new talent into solidified rap superstars.

Born and raised in Queens, NY, Sha first made a name for himself in hip-hop when he produced a string of hits for fellow Queens native 50 Cent. Sha's writing and production credits were all over Fif's debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin', helping to create hits like "Poor Lil Rich" and "High All The Time." From there, the business-savvy, classically-trained pianist navigated his way behind the scenes of the music industry all the way to the top.

In 2007, Sha became president of Fif's fledging label, G-Unit Records, as well as the founder of his own artist management company called Money Management Group. He later moved on to Island Def Jam and as of May 2013, Sha serves as the Executive Vice President of Urban A&R at Epic Records. Based on Fif's huge success, Sha has gained a reputation for discovering some of today's biggest hip-hop acts. Sha is credited with the signing of 2 Chainz to Def Jam, executive producing Big K.R.I.T's debut album, Live from the Underground and up until Bobby Shmurda's legal troubles, chopping it up in the studio with the Brooklyn rapper and his GS9 members.

Happy Birthday, Sha Money!
