Ellen DeGeneres can thank the Based God. Last night on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the comedian and talk show host was welcomed by a special Roots rendition of Lil B's "Ellen DeGeneres" ("Put me on the couches, interview my girlfriend/ Swag, swag, swag, swag, bruh, brring-bing-dang your girlfriend"; "Girlfriend look like Ellen, chain like DeGeneres/ Damn, Lil B, you done came up.") Ellen got into the cut, showing off some choice dance moves that were thankfully captured on Vine.

The Tonight Show is briefly making the move from New York, posting up for the week in the City of Angels, where it was located for the entirety of its pre-Fallon history. To announce the temporary shift, Fallon, The Roots and the rest of the Tonight crew enlisted DJ Jazzy Jeff and Carlton Banks himself to recreate the famous opening theme to The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air. Will Smith was unavailable to make a cameo, but he will be appearing on the show this week.

Though it's often a welcome part of the show, The Roots' play-in music has landed them in hot water before. In 2011, the band welcomed Minnesota's Republican Representative--and Presidential hopeful--Michelle Bachmann with Fishbone's "Lyin' Ass Bitch." The Roots apologized and now go through additional screening processes for their entrance music.

Last week, Fallon visited Ellen's show, where she scared him mercilessly, as she so often does. Check out the video below:
