While it would appear that Kanye West has made inroads into the fashion industry he has so long decried as racist and exclusionary, not every member of the establishment is welcoming him with open arms. Fern Mallis, the creator of New York's Fashion Week--which is taking place right now--told the New York Post's Page Six that she's "kind of over Kanye,” adding, “I mean, I’m not a fan of his music, and the attitude and the agenda is not my style.” Not exactly ambiguous. Her comments came during yesterday's (Feb. 18) Jeremy Scott show, where West was seated in the front row in a maroon sweatshirt similar to the one he wore at the Grammys.

In addition to his Adidas line, Kanye West has been working on a new record. While neither a title nor a release date has been announced, West's seventh solo album has already received more in the way of traditional promotion than his last record, 2013's divisive, industrial Yeezus. What his publicists describe as a "prolific collaboration" with Beatle Paul McCartney has already yielded two hits, in West's ballad "Only One" and Rihanna's "FourFiveSeconds." Both songs were performed at the Grammy Awards earlier this month in Los Angeles. More recently, Kanye took to the stage during the 40th anniversary episode of Saturday Night Live to play The College Dropout's "Jesus Walks," "Only One" and "Wolves," a new song that features Sia and Chicago rapper Vic Mensa. Kanye has indicated that the track will be the first on his upcoming album.
