Chris Brown Isn’t Allowed in Canada

Chris Brown has been denied entry into Canada. Brown was turned around from crossing the border into Canada by immigration officials today (Feb. 24), leading Live Nation to cancel shows in Toronto and Montreal. "Unfortunately I will not be able to perform in front of sold out crowds in Montreal & Toronto. The good people of the Canadian government wouldn't allow me entry. I'll be back this summer and will hopefully see all my Canadian fans!" the R&B singer tweeted to his fans confirming the news (the tweets were later deleted).

The details on why CB was barred from Canada is vague. According to THR, when Live Nation announced the Between The Sheets tour stops featuring Brown and Trey Songz at the Bell Centre in Montreal on Tuesday night and at the Air Canada Center in Toronto on Wednesday are canceled, the reason they gave were because of "immigration issues."  Customer will get refunds for their purchased tickets.

Past legal issues probably were a major factor also. Brown recently completed his community service hours stemming from his 2009 Rihanna assault case and is currently still on probation. Brown is due in court Mar. 20 where a judge will decide whether or not he is guilty of violating his probation. If so, Brown could face serious jail time. Chris Brown’s probation was revoked last month due to two separate nightclub shootings, most recently was the San Jose shooting on Jan. 11 that left five people injured. Brown has been arrested twice while on probation—once for assault in DC and also for throwing a rock at his mom’s car during rehab plus stating.
