Benzino's period of tumult continues. The rapper, media mogul and reality television star was arrested yesterday (Feb. 11) in Atlanta for marijuana possession and driving with a suspended license. Benzino's Maserati was pulled over because he wasn't wearing a seat belt; however, he failed to provide a valid license, and the weed was found on the subsequent search of his ride. His bail has been set at just under $2,300.

This isn't Benzino's first brush with the law in 2015. Just last month, he was arrested at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport for trying to lug a a loaded 9-mm through security. The gun had 7 rounds of ammunition at the time.

Prior to these legal mishaps, Benzino and his fiance, Althea Eaton, were dismissed from their roles on VH1's hit unscripted television show, Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. Though details were at first murky, it appears as if the catalyst for the couple's dismissal was Benzino's continued beef with Stevie J. The discord came to a head at one of the show's reunion specials, where a brawl broke out.

Benzino is perhaps best known for his former role as a principal owner of The Source magazine, as well as his running feud with Eminem. He has released four solo studio albums.
