As we've seen in the past, it doesn't take much to get Azealia Banks started. The Harlem spitfire recently went in on Erykah Badu after the soul singer simply implied she wasn't feeling the MC's music too tough. A few days ago, a Badu fan asked the singer is she listened to Banks' material to which she replied, “Tried.” Apparently catching wind of the post yesterday (Feb. 14), Banks addressed it by asking if the Grammy Award winning singer was jealous. Badu responded, "Well sh-t I did try. Maybe you're right...I'm just to old to get it. You cool tho?" From there, the rapper went on to accuse Badu of being old and slick dissing. "When artists grow old and begin to recognize their own mortality they throw shade at younger spirits," she posted. Even with no response from Badu, who presumably chose to take the high road, Azealia continued her taunts ending with, "You just keep rocking ur head wraps and buying ur musky oils off the table on 125th."

Is Banks trolling or spitting the truth? Either way, despite the recent controversy, or maybe because of it, Banks is making some big moves. She is scheduled to perform at Coachella in spring among acts like one-time nemesis Action Bronson. In December, she announced she is penning a fiction novel titled Idle Delilah. She also recently landed the cover for an upcoming issue of Playboy magazine.
