Afroman went on TMZ Live to apologize for striking a female fan in the face during his concert last night (Feb. 17). The West Coast native said that he's entering himself in inpatient anger management rehab. Afroman explained how the situation unfolded.

"I want to apologize for my actions," said Afroman. "I'm enrolling in some anxiety foundation right now; I'm trying to get it done. I love my fans. I go early these days to meet and greet them. It was an early show. I usually play at night after I eat my dinner and medicate. It was an early show, it was Mardi Gras. I had to walk a half of mile to get to the place. I had my frustrations to make a long story short. I had a guy that was on the side of the stage, yelling at me, yelling some obscenities I don't want to repeat. These girls got on stage and I asked them to leave. I was trying to keep rappin’ I thought both of the girls left. The guy was still over there hollering from the side of the stage. So as I’m playing I’m thinking it’s the guy starting to heckle my act or do something to me. When people get on stage you don’t know what they're doing. You don’t know what's going to happen next. I’m just trying to finish up and do my job. I thought it was that guy and I turned around and man.

When asked by TMZ what does the "Because I Got High" MC  think about his reaction when he saw the video. The Afro enthusiast simply said "I was wrong."

Afroman, real name Joseph Foreman, was arrested last night (Feb. 17) for viscously punching a female fan in the face. While performing in Biloxi, Miss., the “Because I Got High” rapper was in the middle of a guitar set when a woman hopped on stage. Afroman continued his performance until the house lights came on and his music were turned off. Eye witnesses say that law enforcement then brought him offstage and outside the venue, where he was placed in handcuffs and later charged with assault.

Hopefully "the Michael Jordan of marijuana" can get help and get better. Watch his apology above.
