8 Things We Learned From ‘The Beast is G-Unit’ Listening

Last night, (Feb. 19), G-Unit rounded up all industry ears for an exclusive listen to their upcoming EP, The Beast Is G-Unit. Straying away from the norm, the group housed the event in NYC's financial district to give things a more upscale feel, adding an air of exclusivity by asking everyone to put their phones away. With the place packed out, it's clear that the expectations for the EP are high.

With a Mar. 3 release date, the group played the six track project to quite favoring reviews. Titled "Ballin’," "I’m Grown," "Bring The Bottles," "Doper Than My Last One," "Boy Boy," and "Choose One;" each of the tracks represents G-Unit's current state of mind. The EP reflects their current lives situations, with a bit of a mature edge.

Following the listening, the group sat down for a brief Q&A. Many things were brought to light in the discussion, including that 50 Cent's album will follow the EP and that Kidd Kidd is the hardest working of the bunch.
