Rocker Jack White performed at the world's most famous arena, Madison Square Garden, last night and provided fans with a little hip-hop twist to his set. During his encore performance White brought out A Tribe Called Quest's Q-Tip to the stage to assist with a few tracks. After Tip made his entrance to the JW track “That Black Bat Licorice,” the odd couple then performed ATCQ's "Excursions." There's not doubt about it, Tip was truly turned up for perform in front of his home crowd as he energetically bounced around the stage. Hearing the classic track over live rock instrumentation definitely shows a different side of the smooth '90s cut.

Recently, the Zulu Nation member has remained active whether it be through social activism, social media or music. In November, he was at the front line of protests in NYC over the outrage in Ferguson, Mo. A few days later he raised some eyebrows after knighting Lil Wayne into the Zulu Nation via social media and outwardly liking Migos' most recent mixtape, Rich Nigga Timeline. He also made the rap news for giving Iggy Azalea a comprehensive break down of the hip-hop culture.

White's Q-Tip assisted MSG performance will play on a loop until Monday, here. Check out footage of the MC's appearance, above.
