Wara From The NBHD has dropped a new project, entitled If Guns Could Speak today. Just last summer, the rapper/producer dropped his debut EP, Kidnapped, and gave us a taste of his creativity. With If Guns Could Speak, the Atlanta-via-Brooklyn takes a chance at discussing gun violence using his own life experiences as inspiration.

"It's basically just a cause and effect issue," he told Fader. "All the content is based on real life situations that I've personally faced with a firearm, or simply just what you see and hear in neighborhoods across America."

The project was produced by Wara himself, along with Henry Shoults. If Guns Could Speak has dropped at a fitting time, considering the social unrest the country has been facing lately. The cover art is pretty much indicative of the theme throughout the tape. Stream the seven-track EP below and leave your thoughts. Even though NBHD is new, is starting to create a buzz for himself. In a feature with XXL, he describes his main goal is to bring back art to hip-hop.

"My main goal in hip-hop is to bring back the art form of it all," told the young upstart. "I’m a person that’s strictly into details about everything from the cover art to the song titles to album titles to everything that’s based around the project and I feel like nowadays most artists not only put out music to put it out but it’s more so just about the money now and I think it’s not really about the whole art of it all."
