Rome Fortune turned himself into police this morning. The charges against the young upstart is unknown right now. Fortune announced that he's going to jail for a month just seconds after he dropped the video for "5 second rule." He's scheduled to go on tour with IAMSU! starting in March so he should be out of jail by the time the tour start. It's unfortunate because for the past couple of months the ATL rapper has been dropping heat. Fortune and OG Maco, team up for Yep, a colloab EP that proves once again that hip-hop in the ATL is in a great place. The green beard giant released his free album, Small VVorld back in October 2014.

To bid fans some time until he is released, Fortune dropped "Pure" (stream below).

XXL recently spoke to Rome Fortune about his growth since his debut mixtape, his status as a connector in the Atlanta hip-hop scene and why it’s so important to just be different.

Peep his last tweets below. #FreeRomeFortune
