Earlier this week, media outlets went crazy when a selfie of none other than President Obama’s daughter Malia wearing a Pro Era shirt surfaced on the internet. While fans couldn’t believe their eyes, no one was more excited about the photo than Pro Era and their head honcho Joey Bada$$. Unfortunately, the hip-hop collective wasn’t able to bask in the glory for too long. The White House began to investigate how a personal photo of the President’s daughter leaked onto social media.

Joey Bada$$ took to Twitter to send out an apology, assuring everyone that he didn’t mean to cause any trouble. He would later delete the tweet.

“Shoutout to Malia for supporting the ERA. It’s very clear that we meant no harm by posting the pic. Peace to the White House! #B4DAMONEY”
