To pay tribute to the late Eric Garner, his daughter Erica Garner, their relative Steven Flagg, along with the rest of his family dropped a track about the injustice behind his death.

On July 17 Eric Garner, the 43-year-old husband and a father of 6 children, was killed by NYPD Officer Daniel Pantaleo after he was placed in a chokehold because he was peddling loose cigarettes. The incident was captured on video, showing Garner struggling to breathe with bystanders pleading for the cop to stop. Garner told the police officers 11 times, "I can't breathe." Staten Island grand jury cleared Officer Pantaleo in Dec 2014. Since then many rappers had spoken out about the untimely death of Garner.

Azealia Banks took to Twitter to let her fans know how disgusted she was with the mistreatment of Black lives in America. When RZA was asked if he thought that Eric Garner’s death was an issue of race, the Wu-Tang Clan memeber replied: “It wasn’t just a black, white thing, it was about authority and about empowering a man who didn’t have power before and who overexerted his power.”  Mack Wilds revealed that he grew up with Garner.
