Eminem is one of the most popular artists in the world and it would be impossible for him to respond to, or even see, every fan letter--either physical or digital--he receives. But through the power of social media, a 17-year-old terminally ill kid's wish was granted when he got the chance to meet Eminem. .

Gage Garmo, an Eminem superfan and high school student, was diagnosed with Osteoarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, and given just a week to live. It had always been a dream of Garmo's to meet Eminem and spend some time with the MC. The young man's friends and families turned to social media to make it happen. Using the hashtag #GetGageGarmoToMeetEminem, the request spread and reached Eminem. According to Royce Da 5'9"'s Instagram account, Garmo's wish was granted and he got to spend time with Eminem.
