The beef between Lil Wayne and Birdman continues to escalate and it is being reported that Birdman is pissed at Wayne for blasting him and Cash Money on Weezy's Sorry 4 The Wait 2 mixtape. On the project's opening track, a freestyle over O.T. Genasis's smash hit "Coco," Weezy takes shots at Birdman and Cash Money with bars like:

Birdman Jr.? More like ugly duckling

Cash Money is an army / I'm a one man army / And if them niggas comin' for me, I'm going out like Tony

All I got is Young Money, no more Cash nigga

According to TMZ, the lyrics aren't sitting well with Birdman. The gossip site says that "Coco" is, "especially galling to Birdman because he feels the man he calls 'son' is treating him like some random producer."

Lil Wayne and Birdman are still at odds over the release of Tha Carter V and Wayne has publicly said he wants off the label. Birdman continues to insist that he will not let Weezy off of Cash Money and will continue to fight Wayne even if the two end up in court.

Wayne first made it known that he wanted off of Cash Money back in December when he wrote a series of Tweets that claimed Tha Carter V was not being released because Baby and Cash Money refuse to release it. There is still no release date for Tha Carter V.
