After the backlash, the menu's was taken down from the restaurant's website;, which Isabella states "it's "still a work in progress." However, the tribute dinner is still slated for Feb. 2 and will feature plates including "Thug Rice" and "Blood Money Sausage," which will cost $65 a pop. In a statement to Fox News, Isabella voiced his admiration for both Tupac and Biggie.

"I grew up listening to Tupac, Biggie and other hip hop artists in the 90s," said Isabella. "To this day, their music is still some of my favorite.”

Wu-Tang and Lil Kim were also inspirations. Isabella created the Lil KimChee and a Cali-Cali Cobb Salad with Wu-Tangy dressing. Isabella has drawn criticism for being “culturally insensitive” because of his choice of names for his dishes. Of course, Isabella attempted to hush commentators with his rationale behind his decision.

“The dinner will feature classic east and west coast dishes set to music from these two greatest hip hop artists. The menu descriptions are a play on song titles and song lyrics," he said.

According to Isabella’s spokeswoman, Jennifer Resick Williams, the event will go on. In addition, she even said that the event is sold out.
