Hot 97 hosted an exclusive listening of The Pinkprint with Nicki Minaj last night in NYC. Housed at downtown's SOBs, morning show personality Ebro sat down for an in-depth chat with the YMCMB spitter, as well as a track by track breakdown of the album. Conversing about an array of topics including working with Beyoncé and how Jay Z inspired her latest LP, things got a little heated when the subject of Meek Mill came about.

"Y'all got to let the Meek thing go," responded Nicki Minaj when pressed by Ebro about the ventures of her newly acquired single life. She continued speaking of her collaboration with the MMG rapper teasing that she was impressed by Meek's skills behind the mic and loved their song. The response left everyone on their toes and no clear response as to if the two are in fact dating.

During the sit-down, the head barb also touched on working with Beyoncé and how their new song "Feeling Myself" came about. Nicki unveiled that working with Bey has been extremely inspirational and that the pop star has taught her a lot about owning her career and taking control as a woman. She also spoke of people not embracing her as a top MC in the game simply because she's a female. The "Anaconda" MC cleared up the recent controversy surrounding the title of her album, explaining that Jay Z is in fact an inspiration behind the project and it's a shame that people are struggling to understand the comparison with The Blueprint.

As the event wrapped, Nicki was gifted her upteempth birthday cake and of course, fans sung their hearts out wishing her a happy one. The cherry on top however, was the twerking she did to cap it all off.

Prom ready!!! @nickiminaj
