Nas, Russell Simmons and Kevin Liles were among the thousands of people who took to the streets of New York City this afternoon as part of the city's Millions March NYC protest. The avenues and boulevards of The Big Apple were swarmed by peaceful protestors who lined the streets as far as the eye could see with signs that read statements like "BlackLivesMatter" and poster boards with the printed names of the recently slain. They marched in the name of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Eric Garner, Akai Gurley and countless others whose lives have been taken by those that are tasked with protecting them. Some estimates put the swelled crowd of concerned citizens, who marched from Washington Square Park to New York City Police Department headquarters, at well over 100,000.

Several other rappers including Diddy, Yo Gotti, Meek Mill, French Montana, Juelz Santana, Bobby Shmurda, David Banner, DJ Drama, Ludacris, Swizz Beatz and Maino showed their support for the cause by retweeting the photo of Nas, Russ and Kevin as well as what is sure to become an iconic photo of the gathered multitude stamped with the date "12-13-14."
