Update (Dec. 21, 11:10 a.m.): 50 Cent posted on Instagram his disapproval for senseless violence. He quoted Gandhi in his caption, “An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind.” Peep the post below.

Original Story: Ismaaiyl Abdullah Brinsley, the man who police believe recently executed two NYC police officers in a revenge murder for the killings of Mike Brown and Eric Garner bragged about his deeds on Instagram using 50 Cent lyrics before taking his own life. Brinsley, 28, reportedly shot his girlfriend to death in Baltimore on Saturday (Dec. 20) morning then traveled to Brooklyn where he is said to have snuck up on NYPD officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos as they sat in their patrol car and opened fired.

Brinsley clearly had murder on the mind. Before the second shooting incident, he sent out a morbid warning on Instagram, 'I'm Putting Wings On Pigs Today," it read, alongside a picture of a semi-automatic handgun. "They Take 1 Of Ours... Let's Take 2 of Theirs #ShootThePolice #RIPErivGardner (sic) #RIPMikeBrown. This May Be My Final Post. I'm Putting Pigs In A Blanket."

After the shooting, Brinsley left one final decry on IG before taking his own life with a gunshot to the head in the Myrtle/Willoughby G train subway station. Along with a picture of what looks to be blood-stained fatigues he posted a variation of a 50 Cent lyric from the Queens rapper's "Green Lantern (Freestyle)." "Never had a hot gun on your waist and blood on your shoe. Nigga you aint been through what I been though. You not like me and I'm not like you," he posted.

Baltimore authorities tried to stop Brinsley after they discovered the body of his girlfriend by alerting police in New York, but were unable to do so before he struck again. Both officers were taken to nearby Woodhull Medical Center where they died from their injuries.
