After receiving critical acclaim for his debut album, Under Pressure, it's safe to say Logic has expanded his reach exponentially. The Maryland MC did more than solid numbers his first week during his head to head bout with T.I., and proved that he's fully capable of surviving on the charts. With hopes of surprising his contemporaries, Logic will be calling on an old school legend for his next album. A phone conversation quarterbacked by Steve Lobel, helped seal Logic an opportunity to do a record with Big Daddy Kane.

Bone Thugz's manager, Steve Lobel, orchestrated the phone call between Logic and Kane. “Hip Hop history going down,” exclaimed Lobel. Kane complimented Logic on his recent success by saying, “I see you doing some great things, man that’s beautiful." Logic responded by paying homage and asked Kane if he would consider doing a track with him.  “Man, thank you,” Logic said. “This is very surreal. Without you I wouldn’t be here, and I’m not trying to jump the gun or anything…you are somebody I would love to have on my album."

“Let’s make it happen brother,” Big Daddy Kane said. “It’d be an honor, whenever you are ready."

If you recall, Logic's album Under Pressure didn't have any rap features, only on the bonus tracks. So for him to nab Big Daddy Kane for his next project, definitely signals an interesting sign of things to come. Check out the video above.
