In a new cover story for NYLON Guys magazine, Lil Wayne asserts himself as "the last of a dying breed." "When I first started [rapping], you only did it to be the best," recalls Wayne. "Not to have a hot song or popularity or for Instagram or Twitter. You have to want to be unforgettable. The only other people who I can think of like that are Kanye and Beyoncé."

Lofty company, sure, but as the New Orleans ("Hollygrove, to be specific") rapper preps his hotly anticipated Tha Carter V, he does so as one of the best-selling artists in rap history. Wayne also opened up about his 2013 seizures (he doesn't remember them) and weed ("I don't know how it works"), as well as much more.

The Jeff Weiss-penned story covers NYLON's December/January issue, which hits newsstands Dec 9.
