A judge has ruled to suspend the sentence of Chris Brown and his bodyguard Christopher Hollosy for an October 2013 assault charge.

Washington D.C. superior court judge Patricia Wynn sentenced Hollosy to a one year probation in lieu of serving jail time, while Brown was given credit for time served. The incident happened as a result of a fan, Parker Adams asking for a picture with Brown. Brown reportedly responded with, “I’m not down with that gay shit.” This allegedly ended with Adams getting a fractured nose.

This was a lucky break for Brown who was still on probation during the supposed incident for his 2009 assault of then girlfriend Rihanna. His bodyguard Hollosy was granted leniency due to having no prior criminal record.

“We acknowledge what happened in this case,” his lawyer said. However, Brown couldn’t avoid complete escape from the incident. He reportedly settled out of court with Adams for about $100,000 after he field suit. -Adonnis Garvin
